((Edit: Changed!)) Had I not checked the Lexus' front two tires upon leaving Walgreens, I would have been in deep shit. What happened? Front Right has a nail driven into the tire. Thank God Les Schwab isn't too far from my place but I'm not sure if inflating and limping to the place is a good idea... Here's a Lexus for your time.

No spare to throw on real quick?
Also, just because I'm curious, what model?

ES300 - I'm not sure if the spare could last me a trip to the casino 25 miles away and back
And if I'm honest, I don't trust myself changing a tire just yet.

I used to get so many flats I carried plugs and a hydraulic jack to speed up the process.

I know a guy who ran a compact spare for several months on his daily. I may have slapped him when I found out, but you should be fine for 50 miles. Changing the tire per the procedure in the manual should be easy and take a half-hour or so the first time you do it. The hardest part is usually figuring out how to pull out the tools from their very inconvenient but efficient hidey-hole... I changed my first tire when I was 12 and my mom was "stranded".

Usually the nail punctures are quite easy to fix with repair kits. If the tire is still able to hold some pressure (while the nail is till in the puncture) the hole should be pretty clean and the fixing possible.
I have patched up several tires with these.
And you can find these from Pep Boys or some similar store. You only need tire inflating device besides the kit.

The problem with driving it with the nail in is if you don't know how quickly it's losing air, it's easy to end up trashing it so it can't be repaired. Those space-saving tyres are good for a reasonable distance so long as you don't go too fast. You should probably change it, it's not complicated.

Spares are supposed to last at least 50 miles …. hell I probably did a couple hundred on my last one with all the flats I got in Detroit.
Also to be that guy, just learn how to change a tire, its super easy. So is plugging a tire, like kanamanajalava1 suggested. Save yourself a decent amount of money.

Changed it. Doesn't come with a hubcap but I'm not too worried.
